3-D Vine Tutorial
I think today is the perfect time for a fun tutorial, don’t you? I hope you enjoy this tutorial for a 3-D vine to use an embellishment on your cards or layouts. I used my Silhouette to create this vine, but the instructions can easily be adapted for your Cricut or other die cutting machine.
1. Open a file in your Silhouette (or SCAL, or find a die) of the vine you would like to use. Here is what I used:

2. Cut your first vine. I cut mine from Judy at about 6″x4″. Keep in mind that the first (and largest) vine you cut will also be the size of your finished embellishment.
3. Cut two more vines in consecutively smaller sizes. I cut mine from Olivia and Lucille. (See all that luscious shimmer?)

4. Start cutting off the leaves of the smaller vines and attaching them to the largest vine in layers. I like to cut my leaves and attach them immediately so that it is easy to tell where they should go. The leaves should stay in the same position (the lowest leaf on the left should be glued onto the base vine’s lowest left leaf, etc.)

5. Enjoy your completed vine. Have fun using different colors and vine shapes!

P.S. Come back Thursday to see this vine on a layout!
