All Girl!
Having two daughters has opened my eyes to all things shiny, brilliant, blingy, and girly. See, I grew up with three brothers. And then I married into an all boy family. Until scrapbooking became my hobby, I would easily have declared myself a tomboy because I didn’t (and still don’t) wear dresses, I played sports, and never really considered myself a girly-girl. Pink, flowers, and skirts were just not my thing. Boy, has my life changed after giving birth to not one, but two, girly-girls! They would live in pink dresses, swathed in flowers and bows, dripping with diamonds, if I let them. (In fact, there has been many a trip to the grocery store dressed exactly like this!)
Naturally then, because I love to tell the story behind the photos and give my pages the personality of the person I am scrapping, I have become somewhat of a girly-girl scrapper. And I adore it. I love things that add feminine detail to my pages and find myself looking for elements that will adorn my pages with a sparkle that matches the one in my child’s eye (or dress). Couture Cardstock’s “A Girl’s Best Friend” collection is everything I could have asked for in giving that extra brilliance to my projects. This exquisite collection offers mirror, glossy, and metallic finishes in the most amazing of hues. Imagine peering into a princess’s jewelry case, catching a glimpse of her rubies, sapphires, and onyx. These heavy weight pieces of cardstock are perfect for creating your own masterpiece!
Here is a sneak peek of one of my projects that uses “A Girl’s Best Friend.” You can catch it in the gallery a bit later this month…

But until then, I will leave you with a few coordinating paper packs! Have you seen the beautiful “Darcy” Collection from Anna Griffin? This paper is so feminine and begs to be glamorized with a bit of our cardstock! Visit http://www.annagriffin.com/where.html and you can find out where exactly to purchase this stunning paper pack. In addition, Bo Bunny’s new line “Snowy Serenade” boasts a magnificent winter color palette that would glisten with the use of our sapphire and silver hued cardstock! You can find this line at http://www.bobunny.com/fall09release.html
Come back and see me tomorrow, I will be posting a fall project using “A Girl’s Best Friend” that will not only bring a bit of beautiful to your Thanksgiving table decor, but it will allow your friends and family to share some things that they are grateful for!
xx Heidi
