Cardstock embellishments, anyone?
Today, I want to share a bit of a creative nudge with you. When I get “scrappers block” one of the things that helps me get my creativity flowing again is to create a few embellishments of my own design. The pressure to finish a layout or card is lifted, and I can just have fun creating embellishments to use later on.
Next time your mojo deserts you, here are few ideas for making your own embellishments.
- Cardstock flowers. There are tutorials all over the web. Just search for “Cardstock Flower Tutorial.” And watch this blog, I am working on a new idea for cardstock flowers that I will share as soon as I perfect it.
- Stamped, glimmer misted embellishments.
- Bleached embellishments (imagine using this technique and then using the resulting paper to make a flower. Gorgeous!)
- 3-D Vines or flowers.
- Glittered Die Cuts (Make your own from cardstock for total customization)
Once you create a few of your own embellishments, link us up here in the comments section and share them with us. Please? I can always use more ideas.
