Ready for the Couture Cardstock take on the  The Color Room Palette #100?

 This sun bleached palette uses the coordinating Couture colors of Hurricane, Sun Coral, Waterfall  and Pinecone custom textured cardstock.  I used Couture’s Nor’easter Ribbon .

The coordinating buttons are Couture’s Waterfall, Sun Coral and Pinecone.   

Palette #100 {Family Room} PION DESIGN

 With this beautiful, serene palette I thought I would give it a go.

I started with Couture’s custom textured cardstock in Sun Coral as my base.  I added Hurricane and grounded my photos with Pinecone.  I sewed randomely on our Nor’easter Ribbon to give it the folds and added it to the top.  I hand sewed Couture’s buttons in Sun Coral, Pinecone and Waterfall colors. 

 

Couture's Color Room Palette #100

 

I used Couture’s custom textured Hurricane cardstock for my two pennants and K&Company’s Winter Wonderland Specialty Paper for the other.  I cut the flower from Cricut’s George and Basic Shapes Cartridge and sewed on a Sun Coral button.

SERENITY seemed to be the perfect name for this layout which I cut out of the Sun Coral cardstock and printed my journaling on velum and attached with brads.

This month we did it again, only I had the opportunity to create first (muah ha ha) and send it to Alyssa!
Here is what she received from me…

I absolutely adore this photo. Last summer, Alyssa and her family came to visit me in Alabama, and this image is of our 4 kids standing together at a local park. After having some photoshop fun with the picture, I used the colors of the balloons as inspiration in creating the background. I used my Trash Bag Technique, lots of glimmer mist, and some painted bubble wrap to give the page the Heidi-esque artsy feel. I then added strips off to the side like Alyssa often does, only using chipboard and felt for added fun. I could not wait to see what she would come up with!

Here is how she finished it!

(Cardstock used: Frosted Felt, Pumpkin Vine, Temptress)

Didn’t she an amazing job? I LOVE that she kept the bit of green (hmmm… sounds like what she said about the last progressive!) and added more. Her use of foliage and hand-cut details add so much eye candy to the layout and I am just in love with how it turned out! What do you think?
