‘Round the Tree

Today’s project is a fun and simple, yet elegant, Christmas tree craft! Using the deep green “Garland” cardstock from the Vintage Christmas collection, I used my Cricut to cut out approximately 40 circles, 10 each size, in 1/2 inch increments. The size of the circles I chose to use were 2.5, 2, 1.5, and 1 inch. Using Versamark and Tim Holtz distress embossing powder, I heat embossed each circle with a beautiful script font stamp. The next step was to poke a hole in the center of all the circles. Place a dot of your favorite adhesive onto the hole of your largest size circle, and slide the circle to the bottom of the skewer. Repeat with all the largest circles, followed by the next size up, etc., building your tree! After all the adhesive has dried, poke a hole into the top of a jewelry box and stick your bamboo skewer through, using glue to secure the tree. Finish your tree by adding glitter, and any embellishments that you like!
