Thursday Challenge
Today, in honor of Veteran’s Day (which was yesterday in the USA), I want to challenge you to create a project in honor of someone who has impacted your life. We all have people that have impacted us, changed us, helped us to become better people. Today, let’s honor them in our artwork.
Here are some cues to get you started:
- Who is your own personal hero?
- Who has inspired you to greatness?
- Who believed in you when no one else did?
- Do you have a hero who rescued you?
- Is there someone who makes your life better every day?
Leave us a comment on this post telling us who you plan to honor in an upcoming project and why. Next Thursday, we will randomly draw one winner to receive a Couture Cardstock prize pack.
Congratulations to the winner of last week’s “Falling Back” Challenge:
Shelley Orenstein says:
I think of falling for our antics. My sons were always doing funny (and sometimes strange) thinks. I need to scrap some of the moments that I caught when they were younger.
Congrats, Shelley, enjoy your prize! Email Heidi at hkelley@couturecardstock.com to provide your shipping info.

My father is my hero. He’s no longer alive but I always think of him when I am in a tight spot. I think to myself, “what would Papa do?” and somehow I get through. He was born in 1929 and he served in the military for 23 years. He saw a lot and endured a lot and he is my inspiration.
That is beautiful Myra, I think of the same thing. My father is an amazing man, retired military as well, and truly my hero.
